An exciting opportunity has risen for a clinical fellow (6 month fixed term post with possibility of extension) to strengthen the clinical and academic hepatology service at Kings College Hospital (KCH) and its network partners. Please note: previous NHS experience is essential for this post. 

The post holder will have the opportunity to develop wide experience within the community liver health check (CLHC) project and liver cancer surveillance initiative. For the CLHC the post holder is expected to integrate clinical and managerial skills with primary care and secondary care aiming to improve early identification of liver disease among at-risk individuals. The post holder is expected to oversee the project and review the dataset to ensure best practices align with the national programme.

The post holder will work in the community clinic and in the hepatocellular carcinoma clinic at Kings College one-two clinics per week and will work across the South East London Cancer Alliance (SELCA) to create the cancer registry. Furthermore the post holder will support data extraction from our network partners.

The successful applicant will be a meticulous clinician with sophisticated communication skills, enthusiastic, flexible and with an inquiring mind. The development of a project MD will be supported. You will be encouraged to show initiative, develop your skillset, and take on projects of value and interest. You will be a flexible, enthusiastic team player. Exposure can be tailored around interests and discussion is welcomed.
