Job overview
We are seeking to employ a highly motivated Band 5 Dietitian to join our team of acute adult dietitians. This is a permanent position. You will be working alongside two other rotational Band 5 dietitians and the wider acute teams based at our Denmark Hill site. This is a busy and varied caseload, we are looking for a confident dietitian who is organised, self-motivated and ready to take on any challenge with the support of the team. Applicants should be qualified dietitians that have confirmed HCPC registration.
Main duties of the job
This post will offer dietetic expertise to patients, carers and other health care professionals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to rotate to different clinical areas within the acute caseload at King's College Hospital, providing high quality evidenced based practice.
Within the acute teams we have specialist dietitians in Gastroenterology, Neurosciences, Haematology, Oncology, Liver and HPB. There will be opportunities to develop your practice by shadowing specialities within your rotation and clinical supervision.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Rotations include Medicine, Surgery and the Health and Ageing unit. The post holder may also be involved in student training, service development projects and Trust wide Nutrition and Hydration initiatives. Our dietetics department expects all staff to be involved in the teaching of other healthcare professionals, in line with our mission to provide excellence in clinical care, research and teaching in King’s Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre.

Essential criteria
- BSc/ Post graduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics
- HCPC registered
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of enteral feeding
- Knowledge of Dietetics within the NHS
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in acute and primary care environments
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Skills and Competencies

- Presentation skills and ability to work autonomously with individuals and groups
