We exist to provide the best possible care for our patients and we do that by giving our colleagues what they need to be their best at work. We have won numerous awards from the HSJ and Nursing Times for the way we support our colleagues across all our services.
We are proud to be recognised for our outstanding cancer care, children's services, pioneering surgical teams, and exceptional rehabilitation services. Our maternity services have been rated the "Best in London" by women surveyed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), with parents travelling to Kingston to take advantage of our considerable experience and expertise.

- Collaborative: We foster teamwork across all levels, working together and with our partners to deliver the best outcomes.
- Inspiring: We are committed to continuous improvement and excellence in patient care, staff development, and innovation.
Job overview
The Associate Director of Estates Strategy and Capital Programme is responsible for the design and delivery of the estate strategy, space development across Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust, commercial development assurance, governance processes to ensure a safe and effective environment is provided at all times and delivery of the capital programme. This is a crucial leadership role in the delivery of the estates capital programme and oversight of major strategic projects affecting the delivery across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
You will need to develop an excellent understanding of the potential of the PLACE portfolio and to help drive efficiencies to optimise the portfolio, through property consolidation, capital development, enabling disposals, driving value from lease events and where relevant the “right-sizing” of new developments. Recognise the increasing overlap between Acute, Primary Care, and Community based services in the context of the contrasting nature of the facilities, that each Estate Strategy has traditionally had to address. Today, the imperative to reduce operating costs, implement clinical service change across the wider health economy, minimise capital investment, deliver higher levels of utilisation, and resolve estate liabilities all combine to demand a realistic platform for partners to collaborate on maximising estate opportunities.
