Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Senior Performance Analyst to join the Performance & Information team at Moorfields on a fixed term contract basis for 6 months.  

The role will include the management and provision of high-quality performance information for the trust board, sub-committees and operational divisions.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will also provide analytical support to the wider Trust, and where appropriate develop management reports and analysis via our Qlik Sense business intelligence software.

The post holder will have excellent data analysis and reporting skills together with the ability to present complex data to a wide range of key stakeholders to support the trust in meeting its core performance objectives

The post holder will be responsible for the collation, analysis and reporting of key performance metrics that support the organisational strategic and operation objectives and ensuring that the information is accurate and timely and meets organisational needs.

This role will require the skills and competencies necessary to plan information collection, collation and visualisation.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Responsible for the production of a series of performance reports for various Boards, committees and groups across the organisation. This will require the provision of complex data using several techniques but primarily focusing on the use of statistical process control.

Support data owners and directorates in the interpretation of trends and variation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through statistical process control (SPC) charts, and assist with the collation of appropriate and consistent narrative that complement these charts.

Undertake additional analysis to provide detailed interpretation of performance levels, and make recommendations relating to performance levels, trends and variation

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge and understanding of NHS performance reporting requirements and KPIs
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of basic statistics

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of building technical solutions and reports to meet bespoke requirements
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of interpreting national policy and operational procedures

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of SQL, specifically within SSMS
  • Ability to gather, analyse, interpret and present complex data and information from both electronic and paper-based sources
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of Qlik Sense
