Job overview
To provide high-quality clerical and administrative service to the HMP Pentonville Therapies team and it’s service users.
The administration of the role will require to support the wellbeing centre therapies team with everyday administration: printing documents for services users, sending out letters to service users, data collection, supporting and editing databases, compiling distraction resources, supporting with petty cash, placing stationery orders/procurement invoices. To collect visitors to and from the main gate

To provide a high quality administrative, clerical and reception service for patients and their carers who access the Trust services in a prison environment.
You will be required to use your initiative in all aspects of secretarial and clerical work to efficiently prioritise work and meet deadlines, as the service requires.
Your duties will encompass regular liaison regarding the keeping of the appointment’s diary typing of letters and reports, taking and transcribing minutes at meetings as necessary, telephone liaison as necessary with external agencies and making appointments at the request of the service. You will assist in the maintenance of records, data management, filing, and photocopying and any duties essential to the comprehensive administration support service you will provide. You will be required to ensure the environment is updated with relevant information for the patient group in the Wellbeing Centre.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To participate in the regular departmental meetings and contribute as appropriate to the overall service provided by the administration department.
- To undertake on-going personal development through participation in appraisal and supervision, attend and undertake relevant training identified
- To plan and coordinate their workload to ensure all deadlines are met and objectives achieved.
- To ensure good working relationships with all staff within the organisation and external agencies.
- To refer issues that arise appropriately, including enquiries or complaints from members of the public and patients.
