Senior Clinical Fellow in Anaesthetics

NHS Medical & Dental: Senior Clinical Fellow MT04

Job overview

This post is designed to support the delivery of high‑quality anaesthetic services across a busy acute Trust while offering strong educational development for doctors progressing in anaesthesia. The appointee will work as part of a well‑established, supportive, consultant‑led anaesthetic department with comprehensive on‑site supervision, structured rota support, and a strong track record of training success.

The role is suitable for doctors who are developing competence and confidence in providing anaesthesia across a range of clinical settings, including elective and emergency theatres, labour ward, and emergency services. All Trust grade doctors are regarded as doctors in training and will be supported through structured supervision, regular appraisal, and access to educational resources.

Main duties of the job

Working for your organisation

North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system – consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. As with other ICS’s, we are working increasingly closely with partners and indeed many of our financial and performance objectives are measured at this system level. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an ICS infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches.

We are proud of our staff and want to ensure their training allows them to provide excellent clinical care. We are also a training unit for medical students from UCL and St George’s University Grenada, and for nursing and midwifery students from Middlesex and City Universities.
