Are you prepared to take a pivotal role in patient care and pathway management? The Royal Free Hospital London NHS Foundation Trust presents an outstanding opportunity as a Patient Tracker List (PTL) & High-Risk Breast Screening Coordinator at Edgware Community Hospital within the North & Central and East London Breast Screening Service. This position offers a gateway to make a substantial impact while collaborating with a dynamic team that highly esteems your proficiency and dedication.

Main duties of the job

Central to this role is the accountability to diligently monitor and track patients on suspected cancer pathways through the Somerset and NBSS systems. Your role holds paramount importance in ensuring the pursuit of all necessary actions, their evaluation, and readiness for discussion during the weekly cancer PTL meetings. Working closely with the management team, you will emerge as a pivotal figure in resolving any hindrances along the pathway, promptly escalating challenges when required.

Your dedication to professional growth will empower you to comprehend the intricacies of the 62-day national cancer waiting time targets, the 28-day expedited diagnostic standard, and the guidelines of the NHS Breast Screening Programme for PTL pathways. The role also entails facilitating the Effective Tracking of Patient Tracker Lists, adhering to deadlines for data submission, and actively participating in PTL review meetings to provide insights and present findings.

Beyond pathway management, your responsibilities encompass critical administrative functions linked to the North London Breast Screening Service. Your expertise will ensure the provision of support services in alignment with Trust and NHS Breast Screening Programme guidelines and targets.
