Job overview

  • To perform 12 lead ECG’s.
  • Connecting and preparing 24hr ECG Tapes, 24hr BP monitor required by the Consultant Cardiologist.
  • Event Recorders for 72hrs, 5-days and 7-day recordings
  • Checking in and outpatients from cardiac investigation clinics
  • To analyse and report ambulatory monitors
  • Assist with stress echo
  • highlight any abnormalities to Senior physiologist / managers.

 

Main duties of the job

  • Performing any necessary administrative work-related technical duties.
    Assist in stress echo and other clinical activities taking place within the department.
    Perform ECG’s, Event recordings, 24hr ECG ambulatory monitoring and BP monitoring.
    To inform cardiology manager of any deficiencies in stock levels i.e. consumables. General duties including preparation of results, general maintenance and daily calibration of equipment, adherence to Health & Safety Regulations
    Basic Life Support and Fire Training are mandatory.
    Participate in the Cardiology Department meetings.
    The post holder will treat all patients with respect and understanding and do all within his/her power to ensure the comfort and happiness, as far as possible, of all patients attending the department or being seen on the wards.
