We are looking for adult nurses to support the emergency team, providing high quality nursing care. Sharing in  and contributing to the management of the department.  You would gain experience in our refurbished Resus, Majors, Children's area and our newly built Urgent Treatment Centre.

As skills and competencies develop taking charge and actively participating in and contributing to the management of the ward or department on a regular basis. Supervising and mentoring junior staff.

Main duties of the job

St. George’s Emergency Department is one of the largest in the country, seeing approximately 160, 000 patients a year. The department sees a wide variety of patients from minor injuries to major traumas.

The Trust is one of only four designated Major Trauma Centres in London, with a helipad providing direct access to the ED for the most seriously injured patients. The Trust also has a hyper-acute stroke unit and a heart attack centre.  

We are seeking enthusiastic nurses at Band 5 level ideally with post registration experience to join our Emergency Department team.
