Specialist Audiologist/Hearing Therapist
Band 6
Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hearing therapist or an audiologist with a special interest in hearing therapy to join the audiology team at St George's NHS Hospital. The post holder will be providing hearing therapy clinics as well as other clinical aspects of the service such as paediatric hearing and adult hearing/vestibular, based on personal interest and service demands, subject to qualifications, experience and service needs.
Main duties of the job
You will be expected to deliver services at St George’s Hospital and nearby satellite clinics. These services include hearing therapy but also other clinical areas. You will also be expected to participate in research and departmental audits in addition to contributing to the service development of the audiology service.
For individuals with a true interest in hearing therapy, the possibility of a band 5 training position for six months will be available, during which internal and external training will be offered to expand your hearing therapy skills. Upon successful completion of a training logbook, you will be able to apply for the band 6 hearing therapy position.
