Advanced Audiologist Team Lead

Job overview

A rare opportunity has arisen for an advanced audiologist / team lead with strong leadership skills to join the audiology team at St George’s Hospital. The successful candidate will be a highly clinically skilled audiologist with NHS experience including experience working with complex patients, as well as evidence of leading on non-clinical activity.  There is flexibility in the role to accommodate either an adult or paediatric audiologist.

Main duties of the job

This role is a combination of clinical and non-clinical work which is an excellent opportunity for personal, career and leadership development. 

You will be expected to actively lead and contribute to ensuring current, up-to-date, high quality and lean clinical pathways that adhere to national best practice standards. 

Additionally you will provide operational, clinical and pastoral leadership within the audiology team, in collaboration with the other team leads and head of audiology.   You will also be expected to deliver services at St George’s Hospital and nearby satellite clinics in the area of your expertise.

The Department of Audiology and Audiovestibular Medicine at St. George's Hospital provides a diagnostic and rehabilitative audio-vestibular service to people of all ages encountering problems with hearing, balance and tinnitus.  You will be working within a dynamic and friendly multidisciplinary team of audiologists, audiovestibular physicians and physiotherapist, who strive to offer an exceptional standard of patient care and focus to work within the Trust values of being kind, excellent, responsible and respectful.  The main department is located within the acute St George’s Hospital main site and is co-located with ENT and the auditory implant team, but also has four satellite sites that can all be reached by public transport
