Gordon Smith Ward is a 12 bedded haematology and oncology ward caring for patients with malignant and non-malignant diseases. St Georges Hospital offers a wide range of specialist services including including psychological support services and bone marrow transplant.

We aim to provide a service which is tailored to the individuals needs’ as well as ensuring our staff are supported through regular clinical supervision time, education programs and on-going professional development. Both our patient and education services are linked to the Royal Marsden Foundation Trust Hospitals located in Sutton and Chelsea. We are committed to providing opportunities to pursue further education pathways including BSc and MSc in haematology and oncology.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our team and we are looking to recruit a Senior Staff nurse who is driven and innovative, with a strong passion in Haematology and Oncological nursing. The successful applicant should have a recognised chemotherapy qualification, with 2 years post qualification experience with a minimum of 1 years’ experience in cancer care. We require someone who has leadership qualities and good organisation skills, who is motivated to support the senior sister, acting as a role model for junior members of staff.
