Job overview

Main duties of the job
- We are looking for a band 6 nurse to join a team of mixed skill nurses to support children and young people in a school for CYP aged between 4-19 years old.
- You will have good clinical skills as well as be willing to learn new skills. You will plan your workload and pre-empt the needs of the children on your caseload.
- You will be giving tracheostomy care, feeds via jejunostomy, gastrostomy, safe administering of medication, airway maintenance using suctioning etc.
- You will be delivering care for the CYP while they are in their lessons and ensuring their education is as uninterrupted as possible.
- You should work well within a team.
- Your must have good safeguarding awareness.

- NMC registered nurse
- minimum 2 years post registered experience
- experience of working with children and young people

- RCN or RN with minimum 2 yrs working with children and young people
