Job overview
The successful candidate will work alongside 2x service managers to lead and manage the administrative teams supporting patient care within the Haematology department. This role ensures the efficient day-to-day running of services, focusing on delivering high-quality administration for patients, carers, and referrers.
The post-holder will drive continuous improvement by managing outpatient pathways, supporting performance targets, and leading key projects related to quality, efficiency, and service development. The role also involves staff management and fostering strong communication across multidisciplinary teams to achieve patient-centered outcomes.

- Degree and/or relevant experience

- Previous managerial experience in a large and complex organisation, preferably within the NHS
- Proven experience in service improvement and development
- Proven experience in effective management of budget and effective leadership of staff
- A proven record of success in managing change while also developing and maintaining high standards of quality
Desirable criteria
- Proven experience in business planning and in the development and effective leadership implementation of complex strategic and operational plans
Skills and Abilities

- Proven track record of working under pressure to strict deadlines
- Ability to prioritise effectively
- The ability to work co - operatively with both clinical and non -clinical staff including other management teams of the Trust and to develop effective working relationships within the directorate
