We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Consultant Clinical Oncologist to join our internationally renowned team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH), with a focus on haematological malignancies and thyroid cancer. Main duties of the job
This substantive consultant post offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care in two rapidly evolving areas: haematological cancers and thyroid malignancies. You will work closely with experienced multi-professional teams and contribute to the development of innovative, patient-centred oncology services at UCLH.
Your responsibilities will include:
Radiotherapy planning and delivery (including proton therapy where appropriate)
Systemic anti-cancer therapy and radionuclide therapy for thyroid cancer
Active involvement in specialist MDTs and treatment planning discussions
Service leadership for the Malignant Spinal Cord Compression (MSCC) pathway
Participation in the inpatient attending and consultant on-call rota

Professional Qualifications
Essential criteria
- MB,BS or equivalent Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice and revalidated as appropriate.
- On GMC Specialist Register for Oncology or within six months of attaining CCT.
- MRCP or equivalent NB: Non UK trained doctors must be on the GMC register and Specialist Register in Clinical Oncology by date of interview.
- Higher degree (MD, PhD or equivalent)
- FRCR or equivalent

- Management of all aspects of care of patients undergoing palliative chemotherapy

- Undertaken advanced communications skills course
