The programme includes strategic projects (like our new Dementia Research Institute and Neonatal Expansion), innovative transformational projects (like Power Purchase Agreements and Digital Diagnostics) and our Trust-wide replace and refresh programme.
You will be working with the Senior Project Finance Manager to lead the Strategic Finance team of six, with direct responsibility for a team of three. You will also be responsible for effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders who support delivery of the capital programme across the Trust.
This is a key role within the corporate centre of an innovative and forward looking finance team. It is an opportunity to make a real difference to how services are delivered supporting improvements in patient care and for our staff.

Proposed interview date 13th May 2026

Main duties of the job

Your main responsibility will be to support effective delivery of a large and complex capital programme on time and within budget. This includes financial management of the programme - planning, monitoring and reporting - as well as advising on technical accounting and the financial aspects of business case development.

To be effective, you will need to develop relationships across the Trust (for example procurement, medical physics, capital projects, strategy) and show strong leadership as you ensure high standards within the team are maintained and Trust governance is followed.

You will need to be comfortable working at pace and when priorities change, with strong political awareness and an inclusive management approach.
