A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within the Women's Health Division for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and vibrant individual to join our management team.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a full time Service Manager who will support the Benign Gynaecology Service in the day-to-day delivery of outpatient and surgical services. Ensuring there is high quality patient care alongside a well-trained, efficient, and enthusiastic administration team, with a good MDT relationship across many stakeholders both internally and externally to the department and Hospital Trust.

Essential criteria
- Degree and/or an appropriate professional qualification or equivalent.
Experience

- Previous managerial experience in a large and complex organisation preferably within the NHS
- Proven experience in service improvement and development
- Proven experience in effective management of budget and effective leadership of staff.
- A proven record of success in managing change while also developing and maintaining high standards of quality.
Skills & Abilities
Essential criteria
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to liaise and negotiate effectively at directorate management team level.
- Proven track record of working under pressure to strict deadlines
- Ability to prioritise effectively
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills with ability to motivate and engage individuals and teams
- Quality focussed with an innovative approach and the ability to solve complex problems
- Excellent IT skills
- Evidence of political awareness and sensitivity to the high profile of the Trust
