We have an exciting new role for a Clinical Practice Facilitator within our Children and Young People’s Cancer Services Team for a keen and motivated individual.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will demonstrate a level of enthusiasm and commitment that will support the development of our qualified staff to develop their professional goals and clinical skills. You will also demonstrate a proven record of clinical teaching in both informal and formal settings and will have well established assessment skills.
Interested candidates should have highly effective interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to work with a diverse team of professionals. You must have excellent organizational skills and be able to meet tight deadlines.

Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Practice Supervisor and Practice Assessor (SSSA) Training or equivalent Mentorship qualification
Desirable criteria
  • Management / Leadership course

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Minimum18 months experience in a practice development role/ clinical practice facilitator/senior staff nurse (Band 6)
  • Band 6 experience in a clinical setting
  • Experience of supporting learning in practice
  • Experience of liaising within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience of working in complex situation
  • Experience of evidence-based research care
  • Experience of developing and delivering education programmes
  • Experience of working in collaboration with and across organisational boundaries
  • Experience in presenting and service promotion
  • Experience in audit and/or research
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of coordinating and managing a team
