West London NHS Trust is seeking an ambitious and driven Operational Effectiveness Manager to play a central role in delivering high-quality, efficient and person-centred services across our borough-based model.
This is a pivotal leadership role within Local Services, working at the heart of operational delivery, transformation and performance improvement across services.
You will work in close partnership with Borough Clinical Directors, Associate Borough Directors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure services are safe, effective, and continuously improving
As an Operational Effectiveness Manager, you will:
- Lead borough-wide performance, quality and operational improvement
- Translate complex data into actionable insight to drive service change
- Support delivery of key priorities including:
- Community Mental Health Framework
- Quality & Safety agendas
- Neighbourhood and integrated care models
- Embed a culture of intelligent productivity and continuous improvement
- Support optimisation of digital systems (e.g. EPR, dashboards, telephony)
- Strengthen governance, risk management and CQC readiness
- Work across organisational boundaries with local authorities, primary care and system partners
This is a highly visible role with significant scope to influence service delivery and improve outcomes for local populations
Main duties of the job

- Proven ability to interpret complex data and drive improvement
- Experience working with digital systems, reporting or service redesign

- Formal programme or project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, Lean, QI)

- Experience supporting operational delivery and improvement in an NHS or similar setting
- Experience in performance improvement, transformation, and cultural change
- Experience translating data into insight and action
- Experience in digital optimisation (e.g. EPR, telephony)
- Experience preparing reports for governance and assurance forums
- Experience operating under pressure in complex systems

Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Working knowledge of NHS priorities (e.g. Long Term Plan, Core20PLUS5, Community Mental Health Framework)
- Understanding of quality governance, assurance, and CQC frameworks
- Awareness of quality improvement & digital systems in healthcare
