Job overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated full time Specialty Doctor, to join the Women’s directorate of the West London Forensic services, based at The Orchard, St Bernard’s Hospital Ealing.
The salary range for this post is £59,175 - £95,400 per annum plus London Zone Weighting.

Main duties of the job
You will be joining a well- established multi- disciplinary clinical team providing care across two wards. The wards are commissioned to provide care for women with mental disorders who require treatment in conditions of medium security. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of a consultant forensic psychiatrist to provide effective, responsive, caring and safe treatment for the women.
Your role would be, together with the Responsible clinician providing front-line mental health assessment and care including attending ward rounds, CPA meetings, community meetings and reflective practice, as well as opportunity to provide written an oral evidence for courts and tribunals.

- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment
- Evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies by time of appointment in line with GMC standards in Good Medical Practice including: • good clinical care • maintaining good medical practice • good relationships and communication with patients • good working relationships with colleagues • good teaching and training • professional behaviour and probity delivery of good acute clinical care
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve with 3 months of appointment
Qualifications

- MBCHB or equivalent medical qualification
- Shall have completed at least 4 years’ full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty; or shall have equivalent experience and competencies
