Job overview

Join Whittington Health’s Children’s Complex Care team as a Clinical Lead Nurse, providing expert leadership and case management for children and young people with complex and evolving needs across Islington, Camden, and Haringey. Our patients include children with complex physical health needs, as well as those with autism and behaviours that challenge access to healthcare.

You will ensure safe, high-quality care in children’s homes, support families and schools, and collaborate closely with the Integrated Care Board (ICB), social services, and multi-disciplinary teams. Advocating for the child’s best interests is key.

The role includes shift work, covering weekends and nights, to maintain continuity of care.

We offer a supportive, integrated care environment, opportunities for professional and leadership development, academic study support, and excellent transport links near central London. Additional benefits include season ticket assistance, work journey Oyster card, and access to a team pool car.

Whittington Health is an Integrated Care Organisation dedicated to delivering coordinated care across hospital and community settings. If you are a motivated nurse ready to lead and make a difference in children’s lives, we’d love to hear from you.

Working for our organisation

Whittington Health serves a richly diverse population and works hard to ensure that all our services are fair and equally accessible to everyone. Nowhere is this more obvious than in the way we look after our staff. We aim to employ a workforce which is as representative as possible of this population, so we are open to the value of differences in age, disability, gender, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, race, sexual orientation, and religion or belief. The Trust believes that as a public sector organisation we have an obligation to have recruitment, training, promotion and other formal employment policies and procedures that are sensitive to these differences. We think that by doing so, we are better able to treat our patients as well as being a better place to work.
