The post holder will provide an effective and efficient administrative and clerical support to the Clinical Service. They will work flexibly as part of the administrative team and contribute to the smooth operation of systems that support service delivery to service users. Provide comprehensive day‑to‑day administrative support to the service, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with service standards. Work independently and use own initiative to prioritise workloads, liaise effectively with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders, and maintain strict confidentiality in relation to all client information.
Work collaboratively with administrative colleagues and provide cover, when required, for other administrative staff across multiple locations within the Directorate to support continuity and smooth running of the service.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To provide a comprehensive administrative service, including processing all reports, correspondence & documentation including referrals, and administrative letters, arranging appointments & booking rooms.
To provide cover in the absence of the Team Administrator in attending MDT team meetings, preparing agenda, minute taking, and undertaking any admin actions arising from the meeting.
To take & relay clear messages accurately and in timely manner
To ensure all administrative systems are managed electronically where possible.
Person specification
Good standard of written and spoken English
Essential criteria
- Competent typing skils
- flexibility to work
- Educated to GCSE standard in English
Desirable criteria
- RIO experience
- Previous NHS experience
- NVQ Level 3 or above

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
