An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated, and patient-focused Band 7 Radiographer to join our dynamic Imaging Department at NUH. Our Barts Health values describe our approach to everything we do, working collaboratively and compassionately to deliver the best care. The post holder will be able to establish credibility with stakeholders across a number of specialties and relate well with clinical and non-clinical teams, be patient focussed with excellent communication skills.
This is a key role within the Imaging Department, the post holder will have a pivotal role in supporting the service to meet its activity and quality improvement priorities, diagnostic and cancer performance standards and strategic development of the service.
We are looking for a skilled radiographer who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and is committed to maintaining the highest professional standards. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing a comprehensive imaging service across a range of modalities and clinical specialties.
Main duties of the job
Deliver safe, effective, and high-quality radiographic examinations.
Ensure excellent patient care and experience at all times.
Support junior staff, students, and newly qualified radiographers.
Contribute to quality improvement, radiation safety, and departmental audits.
Contribute to the delivery of a safe and efficient imaging service, including shift and weekend working as required (participate in the delivery of a 24/7, 365 service).

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers, or equivalents
- Health and Care Professions Council Registration
- Evidence of career-long commitment to CPD
- Postgraduate study in a relevant area
Desirable criteria
- Student Clinical Assessors Course
- College of Radiographers accredited IV cannulation course
Knowledge/Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to teach and mentor students, more junior staff and new members of staff.
- Ability to cope with work pressures and manage time effectively
- Ability to cope with conflict and complaints at local level commensurate with Trust policies
- Ability to make prompt decisions based on knowledge, experience and circumstances
- Ability to work using own initiative but also to know when to seek assistance and guidance
- Basic computer and keyboard skills.
