An exciting opportunity has arisen for a  Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Mental Health Wellness Team in Havering.  

Main duties of the job

As a Band 5 Mental Health Occupational Therapist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions for adults with mental health conditions. You will assess clients' functional abilities and needs, develop, and deliver evidence-based interventions to promote recovery, independence, and wellbeing, and work collaboratively with clients, carers, and other professionals to achieve shared goals

High Cost Area Supplement – Outer London

This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary. (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941).

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • BSc (Hons) or equivalent Occupational Therapy qualification
  • Current HCPC Registration
Desirable criteria
  • Clinical Supervision Training

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Facilitate OT interventions within a range of different environments.
  • Experience of working within mental health setting either community/inpatient
Desirable criteria
  • At least one year’s experience in the health or social care system working as an occupational therapist

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Thorough understanding of OT processes, models, and evidence-based practice
  • Understanding of principles of recovery and social inclusion
