Safeguarding Children Advisor/Practice Development Lead

West London NHS Trust  provides a full range of mental health, community  and physical healthcare services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.

We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

We are seeking a dynamic Band 7 Safeguarding Children Practice Development Lead to support frontline services across the Trust, with particular focus on the needs and priorities of Hounslow Services, with wider links to Ealing and Hammersmith & Fulham. 

This key leadership role offers expert supervision, guidance, and professional development to staff managing complex safeguarding cases. 

You’ll work closely with multi-agency partners to promote high-quality, reflective safeguarding practice. If you're an experienced health professional with strong safeguarding expertise and a passion for improving outcomes for children, we’d love to hear from you.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

·        Deliver high-quality, reflective 1:1 safeguarding supervision to health visitors and other frontline staff working with children and families.

·        Provide expert consultation and support on complex safeguarding cases, ensuring safe, informed, and consistent decision-making.

·        Lead the implementation and embedding of evidence-based safeguarding models, policies, and national guidance across services.

·        Strengthen multi-agency collaboration by working closely with partners, including Hounslow Children’s Services, to promote coordinated and effective safeguarding responses.

·        Drive continuous improvement by contributing to safeguarding audits, staff training, and quality assurance initiatives.
