Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity to job share the Team Leader role at the CAMHS Enhanced Treatment Service (ETS). We welcome applications from experienced Nurses or other allied health professionals .
About the team:
ETS is for young people aged 12-18 who are presenting with a serious mental illness. We offer an alternative pathway for young people who have been admitted for inpatient treatment, as well as offering a supported discharge package for young people leaving hospital.
We aim to reduce A&E presentations and hospital admissions and offer the least restrictive interventions to provide consistent access to rapid, effective interventions, support and recovery – including crisis services. This includes better use of resources and investing to develop more local, community-based services and support. The service has both an outreach, and community day service model.
The post will be based at the Maudsley Hospital in Camberwell and will be moving to the new PEARs Building when it opens at the Maudsley Site.
We are looking to appoint someone who is confident, assertive, resilient, and has a passion for improving the quality of care for young people and their families. We are looking for someone who is able to respond to the team and young people's needs flexibly and who is passionate about learning and staff development and wellbeing.
Main duties of the job
•To take day to day operational management responsibility in the planning, directing and management of the CAMHS Enhanced Treatment Service and the staff and establishment.
•The post holder will ensure that service access and delivery is efficient, effective, evidence based, needs led, as well as service user and carer focused.
•The post holder will provide clear and competent leadership, in partnership with the Service Manager and Deputy team lead to ensure access to timely treatment and intervention by well led and motivated staff that contributes to promoting safety and achievement for all children and young people.

Our Trust headquarters is located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2). We also provide services and operate across other locations, such as London boroughs of Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark; and substance misuse services for residents of Bexley, Lambeth, Greenwich and Wandsworth.

- Recognised Professional Qualification in Social Work (DipSW/CQSW), Mental Health Nursing (RMN), Psychology or any allied medical profession. (A)
- Evidence of continuing professional development

Expereince
Essential criteria
- • Senior Management experience in running large multidisciplinary teams with significant clinical and business delivery targets (A/I)
- • Experience of managing budgets and resources effectively. Experience of leading and managing change to deliver organisational goals. (A/I)
- • Experience of individual and team Performance Management and Appraisal (A/I)
- • Skilled and experienced in managing risk and carrying out risk assessment. (A/I)
