Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for TWO enthusiastic and motivated band 5 musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapists to join our Richmond MSK service. We have two main sites at Teddington Memorial Hospital and Centre House (SW14 8LP) and a smaller additional clinical at Whitton Corner Health and Social Care Centre (TW2 6JL).
A successful candidate for this post will need to be self-motivated, forward-thinking and committed to this area of specialism with experience and skills as outlined in the personal specification.
The MSK service is made up of a large team of physiotherapists, including an MSK interface service and women's health service.
The service offers physiotherapy through face to face, virtual, classes including hydrotherapy and shockwave.

Candidates must be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and hold a degree in physiotherapy.
Main duties of the job
- Provide high quality Physiotherapy in our MSK services working under the guidance of more senior Physiotherapists.
- This would be within either of our two main departments at Teddington Memorial Hospital or Centre House.
- We have a structured band 5 musculoskeletal training programme to allow you to develop and competently provide musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis and appropriate management of patients presenting with chronic and acute musculoskeletal problems.
- Preceptorship provided within the wider trust set up.
- Deliver programmes of supported patient self-management, in ways that facilitate behavioral change, optimises individuals' physical activity, mobility, fulfillment of personal goals and independence, and that minimise the need for pharmacological interventions
- Engage in service clinical audits, quality improvement projects and departmental duties.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- Current HPC registration.
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
Experience
Essential criteria
- Relevant pre-registration physiotherapy experience to include all core rotations (including MSK) or recent relevant healthcare experience
Desirable criteria
- NHS experience, whether as a band 5 physiotherapist, physiotherapy assistant or student on placement
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Broad range of knowledge across all core areas of physiotherapy
- Understanding of national guidelines relating to MSK
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of continued relevant professional development
Skills and Attributes
Essential criteria
- Self awareness of own communication skills allowing patient centred care in both individual and group settings
- Competent IT skills
