Job overview
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced nurse to join our dynamic colorectal cancer team as a Macmillan Colorectal Cancer Nurse Specialist. As a Macmillan professional, you’ll be supported to grow, lead, and innovate in a role that blends clinical excellence with leadership, education, and service development.
Main duties of the job
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Act as a clinical expert in colorectal cancer, supporting surgical and oncology teams.
- Lead nurse-led clinics, perform holistic needs assessments, and support treatment planning.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
- Contribute to MDT meetings, service development, audits, and research.
- Support staff education and act as a role model in clinical practice.
- Ensure compliance with national cancer standards and COSD metrics.

- Degree (BSc) or equivalent in a health related subject, or working towards
- NMC Adult registered Nurse
- Advanced practitioner through formal qualification (Degree) and or extensive clinical pertinent to the area(
