Job overview
Providing enhanced care and continuous observations to patients with mental health conditions or patients experiencing psychological distress. Deliver therapeutic interventions that will reduce agitation and distress and promote recovery. To identify factors that increase and decrease agitation/distress for the patient. To always deliver care according to the principles of least restriction.
Carrying out assigned tasks as part of clinical team in support of registered nurses and to undertake some aspects of care provision without direct supervision. Ensuring the safety and well being of service
users, and always working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of person centered care principles.

Band 3 Staff Bank Mental Health Support Worker
Welcome to St George's University Hospitals Foundation NHS Trust Staff Bank where we pride ourselves on providing high quality temporary staffing cover to our wards and departments. We set ourselves high standards and look after patients; as we would like to be looked after ourselves.
We have also launched the South West London collaborative Bank and as a St Georges Bank worker, you will also have the opportunity of signing up to work across the Trusts within SW London.
We appreciate that it is not always possible to commit to a regular permanent position and that temporary work via our Staff Bank can allow for greater flexibility in your work life balance.
We are currently looking for Registered Support Workers to join us here at our nationally recognised Healthcare Trust; you should have at least 6 months Mental health experience in an NHS.

- At least 12 Months Experience working in the NHS in Mental Health Department
- PMVA- Proactive Management of Violence and Aggression
