Job overview
We are currently looking to recruit a full time Switchboard operator to our busy Switchboard team.
The principal role will be to work within a team to provide an efficient telephone operator service to the Trust and users of its telephone service from a wide range of backgrounds. The work is wide ranging from the handling of general business calls to the implementation of the Trust emergency procedures.
The Switchboard is 24 hour 365 day a year service.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidates will have:-
- A extensive experience working in a Trust Switchboard.
- Experience of handling large volume telephony in multiline environment.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to display a calm and rational approach to difficult situations, demonstrating empathy and assertiveness where appropriate.
