CLCH Hertfordshire Adult Community Services - CLCH NHS Trust provides a range of Community Services, and the Hertfordshire Division is recruiting

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, competent, part-time administrator to provide strong administrative support to the Community Cardiology Service.

You will be working as part of an administration team in a busy, friendly Community Service to support the clinical staff in the Cardiac Rehabilitation and Heart Failure Services. You will act as a first line of contact with the patients and other Health Professionals. You will be required to have a professional manner, good communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.

Please note: The location of this job is BRE Innovation Park: Herts, Bucknalls Ln, Watford WD25 9JQ

Main duties of the job

You will need to manage your workload and set priorities each day. The role involves the use of specialized IT systems such as SystmOne for which training will be provided but a need for flexibility, accuracy and confidentiality is essential.

Other duties include general office administrative duties, dealing with telephone queries, covering for other admin staff when required and maintaining patient literature. The successful candidate will have proven computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Education/Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy and verbal and written skills
  • NVQ Admin Level 3 in Administration (or equivalent qualification) or relevant experience

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Secretarial and administrative experience working in a health care environment
  • Experience of working with the general public in a customer or client-facing role
  • Experience of inputting to databases, spreadsheets and/or other IT Systems and business applications used in the office environment
  • Experience of taking, producing and distributing notes or letters as directed
Desirable criteria
  • An understanding of data protection in a healthcare setting

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook )
  • Able to meet the required IT Skills for the post
  • Demonstrate an awareness of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
