Job overview
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 nurse to join the Brent Children’s Community Nursing Team. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic full or part-time qualified Nurse.
The post holder will work as part of the Brent Children’s Community Nursing Team and will be required to work closely within a multi-disciplinary setting. Intravenous competency with central lines would be an advantage.
This post offers a great opportunity for a Paediatric Nurse to further develop nursing skills within the community setting.
The organisation is supportive of training needs and there is an excellent training an education programme. You will also receive regular safeguarding supervision, clinical supervision and will have support from the Team Lead.
Main duties of the job
To participate in the assessment, planning and provision of skilled nursing care in negotiation with the child and family, in conjunction with the Children’s Community Team Leads
To provide skilled, effective, evidenced based nursing care for children with complex care needs including technology dependent such as tracheostomy care and central venous access.
To provide skilled, effective, evidenced based nursing care for children with a variety of nursing needs, such as enteral feeding, and intra-venous antibiotic administration.
To work in a collaborative manner with other agencies to ensure a seamless delivery of care to families
