This is a brand new volunteering role supporting our Charity.
Pennine Care Charity is the official charity partner of Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust and exists to raise additional funds to enhance the care, experiences and outcomes for our patients, people and communities.
The charity team supports, promotes, and governs all charity activities including fundraising and communications. This includes creating content for social media (Facebook, TikTok etc.), working with media and communications team to raise the profile of the charity, producing promotional materials and campaigns, and engaging with NHS staff to promote fundraising.
Whether you want to gain experience, improve your job prospects, or just want to give some of your time to help others, volunteering could be for you!
Main duties of the job
What the role involves:
- Checking website accuracy and up-dating content
- Publishing social media content
- Basic graphic design using existing templates (for example in Canva)
- Creating the internal and external charity newsletter using a template
- Engaging with fund managers to obtain stories & photos of how charity money is spent and raised.
DBS Level for this role is: This role does not require a DBS check

· Have an interest in fundraising, communications and digital content
· Excellent digital skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Can follow instructions
· Have an eye for accuracy

Volunteer Recruitment

Please be aware that due to the robust process, recruitment can sometimes take a few weeks.
Throughout the process you will have informal meetings with us and the service where you will be volunteering. In addition to this we will require you to:
- Complete an identity (ID) check
- Complete a Disclosure and Barring Service* (DBS) check,
- Complete an Occupational health assessment
- Give details for two references
- Complete relevant training.

DBS checks for volunteers are free and the level of check is dependent on the role you are undertaking.
