Job overview
To support the Senior Medical Administrator in providing a comprehensive administrative service to the medical teams within the Bolton Adult Community Mental Health Team.
The Medical Administrator will undertake general office duties including the typing of medical and other correspondence, actioning any requirements identified within the typing. They will answer and manage calls from service uses and their carers / relatives and other health and social care professionals. They will book appointments for service users and send all relevant correspondence relating to service user appointments, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
Main duties of the job
Undertaking audio/clerical duties for team of medical staff including minutes of meetings, typing of clinical letters and reports, clinical activity data inputting onto the electronic patient record system ensuring accuracy at all times. Be the first point of contact for patients, carers and other external agencies. Liaising with GP surgeries, social services, coroners office and other hospitals. Be part of the multi-disciplinary team. Some reception cover in times of absence, booking of patient appointments and managing of medical teams diaries
