Job overview
Are you an experienced dietitian looking to work in the in-patient setting? An exciting opportunity has risen for an experienced dietitian looking to work within the acute adult team at Fairfield Hospital.
This post provides an opportunity to work within specialist areas including stroke, parenteral nutrition, and critical care. Also, an opportunity to work with in-patients with eating disorders and disordered eating admitted for acute medical intervention.
You will have opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills. You will also be able to develop and take part in staff teaching and training and maintain your own professional development.
You will have a key role in the development of the dietetic service, with the opportunity to audit clinical practise and improve patient care.
You will support and supervise student placements and Dietetic Assistants, as well as playing a key role in raising the profile of dietetics.
You will be key in the development, implementation and audit of patient care practices as part of Clinical Governance.
Development posts will be considered.
Main duties of the job
You will be the clinical lead for dietetics working alongside senior colleagues to provide quality nutritional assessment and intervention for our patients. You will ensure we provide evidence based intervention and support service development.

- Extensive clinical experience of nutritional support including enteral feeding
- Extensive experience of parenteral nutrition and critical care

- Advanced clinical supervisory skills

Essential criteria
- Demonstrates good written communication skills without the use of Artificial Intelligence applications for example ChatGPT.
- Ability to work in stressful and unpredictable environment

- Evidence of training others
