Job overview
We are looking to hire a Porter/Driver to work full-time 37.5 hours per week over a 24 hour 7 day week within the Portering Service at Fairfield General Hospital.
You will be required to be flexible in your working pattern as you may be required to work evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
Main duties of the job
- You will be required to carry out the full range of portering duties, which may include driving vehicles off and on, site, transfer of patients around the site by wheelchair, trolley or bed, including deceased patients and all associated mortuary duties.
- You may also be required to transfer medical notes and medical supplies around the hospital site to various wards and departments. Please see job description for full details.

- Ability to push a patient in beds, trolleys or in a wheelchair along various levels
- Ability to work alone or within a team
- Able to carry/push items varying in weight up stairs and along different levels

- Experience of dealing with members of public
