This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join as Assistant Directorate Manager within the Theatres department at North Manchester General Hospital.  This is an innovative and dynamic directorate with a future strategy working towards a Single service across MFT.

We are looking for an outstanding individual with a proven track record, significant operational management experience and a proactive approach to fulfill this critical and rewarding role within the Directorate Management Team. You will be a self-motivated individual with the ability to perform in a rapidly changing environment whilst achieving challenging deadlines. You will be responsible for the day to day operational management within the Directorate in conjunction with the Directorate Manager.

Main duties of the job

Develop, implement and monitor recovery plans where necessary.

Introduce and put in practice new or revised policies in defined areas of responsibility .

Take a lead, with the support of the Directorate Manager, in capacity management/planning, devising activity planning models and liaising with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure delivery of CSU activity plans.

Regularly review capacity to ensure we have sufficient levels to deliver the best possible experience to patients.

Provide general managerial advice and guidance throughout areas of responsibility.

Decide how best to achieve expected results within areas of responsibility using significant discretion within defined parameters.

Prioritise and plan an unpredictable workload with frequent interruptions, ensuring deadlines are met within agreed timescales and where there is a frequent requirement for concentration
