Job overview
TWA, Trafford, Withington and Altrincham hospitals are a division of Manchester Foundation Trust and the Facilities staff employed provide an integral service to the smooth running of the Division. We are now looking for staff to work at our Withington Division on the Intermediate Care Unit, Buccleuch Lodge and occasionally at Withington Community Hospital, Willow Bank Lodge Intermediate Care Unit, and Dermot Murphy Centre to help us to continue to deliver excellent support services. You may also be expected to support our other facilities services such as domestics, linen, and portering.
As a Facilities Assistant - Catering, you will deliver a full and comprehensive catering service to the intermediate care unit. The role will also involve providing catering services at the hospital café, Dermot Murphy and Willow Bank Lodge when required.
As we are a healthcare facility the successful candidates may also be expected to work on bank holidays and weekends.
Main duties of the job

JOB PURPOSE
· Provision of a high-quality beverage and meal service within a Hospital/Healthcare environment.
· Provision of a high-quality catering service in the hospital restaurant/café either in the servery (front of house) or kitchen area.
· Provision of catering related duties including loading, operating, and emptying dishwashers, dishwashing, making toast, distribution of all meals, and patient beverages as required.
· To work closely and support other facilities services such as domestic, linen, and portering to ensure the seamless delivery of facilities services.

- Ability to understand and be able to carry out instructions to set specifications.

Qualifications

- Good written and spoken English and ability to complete basic maths.
Desirable criteria
- Cleaning training/certificate.
- GCSE to include Maths and English or equivalent experience.
- Customer Care Training.
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate level 2.
