Administrative support to the Voluntary Services Department, including volunteer recruitment administration, records, enquiries and supporting the coordination of volunteers.

Main duties of the job

      To support the Voluntary Services Department by providing a high quality reception, secretarial and administrative service. The post holder will support the effective coordination of volunteer recruitment, induction, records, communications and day-to-day departmental administration, contributing to a responsive and well-organised voluntary service for patients, visitors, staff and volunteers.

  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent level of knowledge gained through experience.
  • Good general education

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Adept at Microsoft Office applications, inc Excel, Publisher, Access, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of providing administrative, reception & secretarial services.
  • Substantial experience of communicating with a wide variety of people from various backgrounds.
  • Experience of working within a team and managing a varied workload in a busy office environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with particular emphasis on the ability to listen, empathise and support people during a variety of tasks.
