ICC Business Continuity Lead
An opportunity has arisen to join the North West Ambulance Service as our Integrated Contact Centre (ICC) Business Continuity Lead.
This role will lead the development and delivery of business continuity and resilience strategies across our ICC operations. You’ll work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure preparedness for a range of scenarios, supporting the Trust’s mission to be there when people need us most.
You will provide subject matter expertise on business continuity, oversee resilience testing, ensure compliance with Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) standards, and contribute to the development of health and safety, fire, and security procedures.

· Develop, implement, and maintain ICC Business Continuity Plans in line with NHS and Trust standards.
· Lead on business continuity testing and ensure lessons learned are captured and implemented.
· Work with internal departments and external partners to strengthen resilience planning.
· Deliver training and awareness on continuity practices across ICC teams.
· Produce high-quality reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
· Contribute to Health and Safety, Fire Safety, and Security governance within the ICC.
· Support the Trust’s strategic objectives through proactive risk identification and mitigation.
Working for our organisation
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

- Ability to assess test results and adapt plans for continuous improvement
- Experience of reviewing and refining business continuity plans through lessons learned and post-event reviews
- Experience of assessing the effectiveness of business continuity plans and introducing enhancements as required.
