Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Wigan Admin Teams for a Team Administrator working for the Later in Life and Memory Service

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced administrator who enjoys working as part of a team and can demonstrate a commitment to delivering a high quality administration support in an efficient and timely manner.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, IT competency in Word, Excel and Outlook and a broad range of administrative experience.  You will be part of a team of administrators providing admin cover to our service users, clinicians and other health professionals.

Main duties of the job

The Team Administrator will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and confidential administrative support to the Wigan Later in Life and Memory Service

The post holder will provide an administrative function to the managers, minute taking of meetings, typing of letters, filing, diary management and other general administrative duties.

Education

Essential criteria
  • Typing/WP RSAIII or equivalent or demonstrable experience
Desirable criteria
  • GCSE Grade A-C English or equivalent ECDL NVQ3 Business Administration

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in an office environment Arranging meetings and taking minutes
Desirable criteria
  • Audio Typing experience Experience of working within the NHS or related healthcare experience Experience of dealing with members of the public

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Extensive knowledge of office procedures Knowledge of Microsoft Office eg Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel
