Job overview

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Community Psychiatric Nurse to join the Manchester Early Intervention Service, a  friendly,  supportive and well performing team working with those who have experienced a first episode of psychosis.  As part of investment within community services, Manchester EIS have additional funding to expand, creating an exciting time to join the service.  

As a band 5 nurse  you will have a key role in supporting the mental and physical health agenda within the team.  Being based within a physical health and treatment hub working across the three EIS teams covering Manchester, you will work alongside the wider MDT and front line teams.  You will support in the oversight and administering of depots, running depot clinics, undertaking physical health checks and offering corresponding health interventions.

Main duties of the job

Duties will include the organisation and delivery of depots, supporting depot clinics, undertaking physical health checks and appropriate screening . Having oversight of the physical health agenda and working within the recovery model using a wide range of evidence based holistic assessments and interventions to improve peoples wellbeing and recovery.
