Job overview

The postholder will be responsible for supporting the clinical, professional, and educational development of the nursing workforce, including non-registered nursing roles within the service in line with the divisional and Trust priorities and strategies. The postholder will be required to work with the nursing workforce, the wider MDT, divisional and care group leads and corporate services, to enable the development and sustainability of a high-quality nursing workforce at HMP Manchester.
The postholder will have expert knowledge and will provide clinical leadership to the team, facilitating application of theory to practice within the clinical setting. This will involve the development of training packages to equip our nursing workforce (including non-registered 
nursing workforce) to deliver Best Care, Every Day to patients.

Main duties of the job

To support the nursing workforce across the service to 
ensure that nursing practice is evidence based, and that the 
nursing workforce have access to the relevant policies, 
information, research, guidance and training to inform their 
practice.

  • Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration
Desirable criteria
  • Post graduate diploma in teaching or practice education (or equivalent experience)
