Admin Team Lead/Senior Secretary based at the specialised Coral Suite, Moss Side Health Centre
Working within a busy, dynamic Community Paediatric Service based at the Coral Suite, our centre of excellence, which encompasses looked after children and child protection clinics, you’ll work in a great team . You’ll receive an induction programme, full training and have the opportunity for ongoing learning and development.
This is an important role within the service and you will utilise your strong leadership, communication and organisational skills to ensure the smooth running of the safeguarding clinics. With experience of working within an office environment you'll have excellent secretarial and Microsoft Office IT skills and be familiar with audio/digital dictation.

Main duties of the job
- To co-ordinate, supervise and provide line management to the administration team, ensuring the efficient, effective and high quality administration functions within the service.
- To ensure the smooth running of the looked after children and child protection clinics.
- Provide secretarial support to the consultant community paediatricians.
- To develop, coordinate and maintain reporting systems within the service.

Education/qualifications
Essential criteria
- Minimum of 2 GCSE Grade C/4 one of which is English Language, or functional skills level 2 in English and Maths
- Recognised IT/typing qualification (RSA II/ECDL) or equivalent skills
Desirable criteria
- Business Administration/supervisor Level 3 NVQ or equivalent experience
Experience/knowledge/skills
Essential criteria
- Strong supervisory/line management experience
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications
- Excellent knowledge of office systems/functions
- Very good time management and organisational skills
- Experience of working in a Community setting
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Considerable experience in an administrative/customer service office role
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of the Emis software/patient administration systems
- Working within a community health services setting
Personal attributes and abilities
Essential criteria
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to prioritise and handle a diverse and sometimes heavy and challenging workload.
