You Could Become Part Of The Team Responsible For The Provision of a high-quality beverage and meal service within a Hospital/Healthcare environment.

Provision of a high-quality catering service in the hospital restaurant either in the servery (front of house) or kitchen area.

Provision of catering related duties including loading,
operating and emptying dishwashers, dishwashing, distribution of all mealtimes services and patient beverages as required.

To work closely and support other facilities services such as domestic, linen and portering to ensure the seamless delivery of facilities services.

At North Manchester General Hospital the Facilities staff employed provide an integral service to the smooth running of the site. We are now looking for staff to work at North Manchester General Hospital to help us to continue to deliver excellent support services to the hospitals in the Trust.

You should have some experience of dealing with the general public preferably in a catering role with a focus on good customer service. In return, you will receive comprehensive training for all aspects of the role.  You will receive training in all aspects of food hygiene and use of the catering equipment within the department and at ward level.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Completed secondary education
  • Ability and willingness to achieve Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of basic Health & Safety requirements
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality
  • Understanding of a small number of routine work procedures which could be gained through a short induction period or on the job training
Desirable criteria
  • Experience in a cleaning role
  • Experience in a catering role

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Ability to prepare and serve food safely
