Job overview
We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time CBT pathway Navigator within the CSU of GI Medicine & Surgery. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the team to provide a comprehensive service to the team
You must have good attention to detail together with the ability to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines. Duties will include the departments coordination with the AdminTeams and administration support and oversight of the clinical rota’s for Gastro, General Surgery, Hepatology and Endoscopy.
You will also be dealing with telephone enquiries, letters, email, diaries, organising meetings, chasing deadlines and collation of information/results for reports
You should have previous NHS experience as well as being flexible and able to work as part of a team. In return we will provide a comprehensive induction and you will be appraised on a yearly basis with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate
Main duties of the job
Your duties will also include the electronic scheduling of outpatient clinics and booking / rescheduling of appointments, therefore an understanding
of National NHS waiting time targets would be desirable. In return we will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will be
appraised on a yearly basis with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to ‘O’ Level/GCSE standard (English)
- Educated to NVQ Level 3 or RSA Level 3’
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of development in current role
Experience
Essential criteria
- Administrative experience with experience gained in an administrative/clerical capacity within the NHS
- Experience of working in a customer service environment
- Experience of using PAS
Desirable criteria
- Previous care environment experience
- Previous experience of establishing/developing departmental systems
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Competent in Word, Excel and E-Mail
- Good working knowledge of Hive waiting list/pre-admission and/or outpatient functions
- Knowledge and ability to carry out appraisals
- Good working knowledge of Trust policies
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of requirements of patients
- AMSPAR/Diploma
- Knowledge of Trust IT systems
