We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Services Team Leader to lead the operational delivery of our clinical and vaccination services within Employee Health & Wellbeing. 

This pivotal Band 7 role plays a key part in ensuring the effective on boarding of new staff, the coordination of immunisation programmes, and the management of clinical risk registers.

You will be responsible for overseeing clinical staff, maintaining high standards of care and safety, and driving continuous service improvement.

As a senior member of the team, you will lead on service planning, workforce management, and quality assurance, while promoting the health, wellbeing, and resilience of our workforce.

The role requires a proactive approach, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Main duties of the job

As Clinical Services Team Leader, you will lead the operational delivery of the Employee Health & Wellbeing Services, Clinical Services Team across MFT, managing a team of Clinical Advisors and overseeing immunisation programmes, on boarding assessments, and clinical risk processes. 

You’ll be responsible for service planning, audits, and policy development, while ensuring compliance with SEQOHS standards.

We’re looking for a proactive leader with occupational health experience, excellent communication and time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Current Registration with NMC as Registered General Nurse (Adult)
  • Specialist Occupational qualification and/or equivalent experience of working in the specialty of Occupational Health
  • Teaching / mentor qualification
  • Leadership/Management Training
  • Demonstrate adherence to relevant continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
  • Master’s degree/ professional management qualification or equivalent experience

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • A broad range of occupational health nursing experience in the NHS or healthcare sector
  • Knowledge of SEQOHS
Desirable criteria
  • Health surveillance programmes

Training & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Working within an Occupational Health setting
  • Experience of managing a team within a healthcare setting and managing
Desirable criteria
  • Mentoring/Coaching
  • Working with IT database systems or specific OH systems
  • Networking
