Main Duties of the Job

This post will be based at the Oxford Road Campus (Manchester Royal Infirmary) and/or Wythenshawe Hospital as part of Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, but may also include duties at spoke hospitals. The post includes regular second on-call commitments on a 1:6 rota. This post offers the opportunity to work within a major teaching hospital adjacent to one of the largest university campuses in Western Europe, in collaboration with the Medical School and Dental School of Manchester. There are good prospects for research and teaching at all levels.

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must ideally hold a current registration with the GMC and GDC at the time of application, whether it be an active licence, ceased licence or a pending application - MFT cannot support GMC Sponsorship for vacancies less than 12 months fixed term. Candidates who do not fit this criteria will not progress through to the shortlisting stage.

Please note: MFT is not a right-to-work sponsoring organisation for Tier 5. Should a candidate require Tier 5 sponsorship, they must apply through the Academy of Royal College via the MTI Scheme.
