Senior Assistant Technical Officer - Aseptic Services

Job overview
This is a great role to start your career as a Pharmacy Assistant within Aseptics, as you'll receive all the training and support you need to be your best. You'll support Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians by providing supervised pharmacy services, including Preparation, and dispensing of high quality Cytotoxic, Parenteral Nutrition, CIVA products.
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual, who is an excellent team player, flexible, self-motivated, and able to demonstrate professionalism, excellent organisational and communication skills. You must be able to work accurately, quickly and under pressure, have a good eye for detail, be able to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines and be committed to deliver a high standard patient focused service.
This role will include 1 in 10 Saturday working as part of a rota. Bank Holiday working as part of a Rota. Post will be based at Wythenshawe Site however there will be expectation that Bank Holidays and Saturdays will be at the Oxford Road Campus .
Main duties of the job
To work within the Trust and Departmental Health and Safety guidelines. To keep abreast and adhere to all national, regional and departmental standards.
To aseptically prepare high quality Cytotoxic, Parenteral Nutrition, and CIVA products in accordance with departmental procedures, Good Manufacturing Practice and COSHH regulations ensuring that all work complies with all regulatory frameworks and standards.
Undertake daily cleaning and disinfection of the aseptic clean rooms including Isolators and Laminar Flow Cabinets, according to Standard Operating Procedures.
To carry out pre and in-process checks of aseptically prepared products upon completion of appropriate training.
Answer the telephone promptly and politely and refer queries to the appropriate person.
To be responsible for the maintenance of all stock in the Aseptic Unit including stock levels within the Aseptic Unit.
Ensure all Environmental monitoring plates are received and stored in the correct manner to ensure they are protected from contamination. To prepare specific products under licensing regulations without direct supervision.
To accurately label and package aseptically prepared products into final distribution containers, including protective bags.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent nationally recognised qualification
- 2 GCSE Mathematics and English Grade C or above
Desirable criteria
- 2 Science GCSE's

- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Evidence of proven customer care skills
Knowledge and Experience

- Pharmacy/ Aseptic experience
