We are recruiting a 2 year fixed term, band 6 Research Support Manager. The successful candidate will provide expert advice during the setup of Trust hosted research and lead a team of Research Support Officers.
Main duties of the job
As the Research Support Manager, you will manage the research study registration, assessment, arrangement and confirmation of internal arrangements. This entails evaluating each research submission to ensure completeness. Ensuring all study reviews, approvals, amendments, study closure notices and annual progress reports are processed by the team.
You will manage the Research Support Team.
Due to the nature of the post, you will have a comprehensive knowledge of the standards and legislation that govern research in the NHS. You will be able to multitask, be detail orientated and have stamina to achieve goals and see things through. You will be able to manage relationships across the Trust with diplomacy to maintain positive working relationships and be able to use their judgement to make sponsorship decisions.
The vacancy is based at the Oxford Road Campus, but the post-holder may need to travel to other Hospitals within the Trust as required.
